Sure! But brace yourself.... good cocktails in LA are rare, you'll have to drive, and they are NOT cheap!

Here are some places to go:

Musso & Frank Grill. Hollywood. Oldest restauant in Hollywood (1919). All the great stars of old went there. Great bar, great cocktails. Have a Martini & a Jack Rose.

Cinnabar. Glendale. Best cocktail menu in the LA area. Have a Negroni and a Golden Dawn.

Bar Marmont. Sunset Strip. A scene. Have a Margarita (they have great Tequila and fresh juice) and a Cosmo with one of their homemade fruit vodkas.

Les Freres Taix. E. Sunset Blvd. Open since the 20s. Again, during the day up to 7pm. Superb old bartender (Fernando, I believe). Have a Singapore Sling & a Pisco Sour.

Polo Lounge. Beverly Hills. In the Beverly Hills Hotel. The front of this joint has been in SOOO many classic movies..... Have a Sidecar & a Champagne Cocktail with extra bitters. Ask if the bartender knows how to make a French 75. If so, have instead of the Champagne Cocktail.

Cuidad. Downtown LA. Spanish for "City". Best rum selection in Los Angeles. I should know, I designed it. Have a Mojito and if you go during lucheon hours into the afternoon Tues-Thurs, Ask for Tony, tell him Doctor Cocktail sent you and have hime make you the drink of his choice.

And if you are STILL thirsty, remember - LA has one of the last Trader Vics here in Beverly Hills. Order a Navy Grog and a Queen's Park Swizzle.
